Our Story

A Love story told through food
Six years ago, I tasted Tunisian food for the first time — because of a man who would become my husband. I had never encountered anything like it. Not just the flavours, but the way they moved together: bold spices softened by slow cooking, textures layered with intention, every dish carrying the weight of generations.
I had to learn. I started cooking these dishes at home, and then we went to Tunisia — where I sat with Souad, my husband's 92-year-old grandmother, who shared recipes the way only someone who has truly lived can. She still speaks about those dishes. I listened as carefully as I could.
When I began cooking for friends and family, something kept happening: I would watch people take their first bite and see exactly the same thing on their faces that I had felt inside. That expression of surprise, of pleasure — where has this been all my life?
In Jan 2026, I left my career in tech. If food could make people feel this way — transported, awakened, full in the deepest sense — then that was the only thing I wanted to do.
This is how O's Tunisian Kitchen was born. Every dish we serve carries that spirit: the warmth of Souad's kitchen, the joy of discovery, and a genuine desire to bring something new and nourishing to your table.
